Season 6 ends with Vega holding up her hand once more while Qubit gathers the whole ladder into one answer: tiny pieces, held together, with a page below them that nobody has written yet. The three acts come back one line and one picture each: a coin cut in half about seventy-five times, a pea on the centre spot of a stadium, three tiny pieces in each kind; the four kinds of holding; and the bottom rung, where everything on the ladder fills about five spoons in a hundred. Vega finally learns which part of her is older than the stars, and her secret worry gets its answer: knowing what a hand is made of has never made a hand less a hand. At the end she asks the question that opens Season 7: how do we know any of it?
